Announces the publication of the second volume
\nof the Noica Anthology entitled<\/p>\n

General Philosophy
\nby Constantin Noica,<\/strong><\/p>\n

edited by C.George Sandulescu (150 pages, ISBN 978-606-92387-6).
\nPart one of the volume consists of exercepts taken out of the books the philosopher wrote beginning with the year 1934 until the year 1949 (when he was assigned obligatory domicile): Mathesis, De Caelo and Philosophical Journal. It begins with an article he published in a Romanian newspaper in 1934, Death of the Tomorrow Man. The Editor’s ForeWord is immediately followed by a text written by Jaqueline de Romilly, Membre de l’Acad\u00e9mie Fran\u00e7aise, which refers to the philosopher with the words „Du chemin de la v\u00e9rit\u00e9”…

\nPart Two focuses on the major books Noica wrote and published after he had been let out of prison in 1964: Six Maladies of the Contemporary Spirit and The Becoming within Being.<\/p>\n

This book ends with a talk Noica gave to high-school pupils in Bucharest in 1986, the year before his death. After that comes and extract from The Observer Weekend Review of 18 May 1961: it includes Noica among the six political prisoners in favour of whom a world campaign, Appeal for Amnesty, was launched in London in 1961 by The Observer itself.<\/p>\n

Ace\u015ftia au f\u0103cut obiectul Apelului la Amnistie din 1961 al aceluia\u015fi ziar londonez.<\/p>\n
