announces the appearance of<\/p>\n

Authors and Books published by Contemporary Literature Press<\/span><\/center><\/p>\n

The publishing house which has recently been awarded „The Prize for the Publishing House of the year 2020” by the Romanian Association of Literary Publications and Publishing Houses and by the Romanian Ministry of Culture, began quite shyly, in my own study. A computer, the internet and the MA Programme for the Translation of Contemporary Literature [which I founded in 2006]–a programme that may have taught me more than I have taught my graduate students.
\nTwelve years after that beginning, here we are, with almost 500 books published, out of which 130 are cutting edge research [A Manual for the Advanced Study of James Joyce’s<\/i> Finnegans Wake], and seven are dedicated to my method of teaching English grammar to Romanian students by means of translation.
\nThe books we have published total thousands of downloads, despite the fact that certain internet sites appropriate our books and spread them in their name, preventing us from seeing the real number of readers on our meters. We pretend not to see this intellectual theft, because we are totally non–<\/span>profit, and are happy just to see our books are being read. When we launch a book, we try to be of use to our readers.
\nAll our books can be downloaded for free. Our first aim is to help all those who wish to learn English and read English books. Besides this didactic goal, we also have a cultural one: we are trying to build a bridge between contemporary Romanian and English writers. We seem to have reached quite a large audience, and we mean to go on spreading Romanian and British literature in the world.
\nWe are now publishing the list of Authors and Books published by Contemporary Literature Press in hopes that more readers will approach us. We are grateful to all those readers who have been faithful to us for twelve years now.<\/p>\n

Editura care de cur\u00e2nd a luat „Premiul Editura anului 2020” la Gala Premiilor APLER [Asocia\u021bia Publica\u021biilor Literare \u0219i Editurilor din Rom\u00e2nia, cu sprijinul financiar al Ministerului Culturii, dar \u0219i al Directorului Muzeului Na\u021bional al Literaturii Rom\u00e2ne, Ioan Cristescu], a \u00eenceput foarte modest, \u00een biroul meu de acas\u0103. Un computer, internetul, \u0219i MTTLC–<\/span> un program masteral de la care am \u00eenv\u0103\u021bat, cred, mai mult dec\u00e2t i–am \u00eenv\u0103\u021bat eu pe masteranzi.
\nLa 12 ani de atunci, ne apropiem de 500 de volume, dintre care 130 sunt cercetare \u0219tiin\u021bific\u0103 de v\u00e2rf [A Manual for the Advanced Study of James Joyce’s<\/i> Finnegans Wake] \u0219i o metod\u0103 \u00een \u0219apte volume de predare a limbii engleze prin traducere gramatical\u0103 studen\u021bilor rom\u00e2ni.
\nVolumele editurii Contemporary Literature Press au zeci de mii de desc\u0103rc\u0103ri, \u00een ciuda faptului c\u0103 motoarele de c\u0103utare de pe internet \u00ee\u0219i \u00eensu\u0219esc volumele noastre \u0219i mascheaz\u0103 \u00een acest fel adev\u0103ratul num\u0103r al celor care ne citesc. At\u00e2ta vreme c\u00e2t c\u0103r\u021bile sunt citite, toler\u0103m acest furt intelectual, pentru c\u0103 noi suntem o editur\u0103 total non–<\/span>profit, \u0219i, c\u00e2nd lans\u0103m o carte, nu ne dorim dec\u00e2t ca ea s\u0103 fie de folos c\u00e2t mai multor cititori.
\nDesc\u0103rcarea volumelor noastre este gratuit\u0103. Dorin\u021ba noastr\u0103 este s\u0103 ajut\u0103m pe to\u021bi cei care vor s\u0103 \u00eenve\u021be limba englez\u0103 \u0219i s\u0103 se apropie de literatura acestei limbi. Dar, pe l\u00e2ng\u0103 scopul nostru didactic, avem \u0219i unul cultural: ne–<\/span> am propus s\u0103 fim o punte \u00eentre scriitorii contemporani rom\u00e2ni \u0219i cei de limb\u0103 englez\u0103. Cred c\u0103 ne–<\/span>am f\u0103cut cunoscu\u021bi, \u0219i cu siguran\u021b\u0103 vom continua s\u0103 traducem \u0219i s\u0103 r\u0103sp\u00e2ndim opere literare rom\u00e2ne\u0219ti \u0219i britanice. Contemporane, dar nu numai.
\nLans\u0103m acum catalogul volumelor CLP, \u00een speran\u021ba c\u0103 vor veni c\u0103tre noi mereu mai mul\u021bi cititori. Nu exist\u0103 r\u0103splat\u0103 mai de dorit pentru o carte de literatur\u0103 dec\u00e2t iubirea pentru lumina scrisului, pe care, sper\u0103m noi, o descoper\u0103 to\u021bi cei care ne citesc, \u0219i c\u0103rora le mul\u021bumim c\u0103 sunt cu noi de 12 ani.<\/p>\n
