            Editura pentru Literatură Contemporană, sub auspiciile Universităţii din Bucureşti, Director Lidia Vianu (Catedra de Engleză), în colaborare cu  Consiliul Britanic şi Institutul Cultural Român, —

 

                             ANUNŢǍ  PUBLICAREA  ÎN LIMBA  ROMÂNǍ

 

a volumului de OPERE COMPLETE  de Mihail C. Vlădescu, ediţie facsimil îngrijită de George Sandulescu şi Lidia Vianu (500 pagini): ediţia adună pentru prima oară întreaga operă publicată sub formă de volum a autorului. Fiul cel mai mare al Alexandrinei Noica şi al lui Constantin Vlădescu, Mihail C. Vlădescu  a fost deputat, soldat,  gazetar, şi scriitor. S-a născut în 1886 şi a murit în plină carieră literară, în 1931. Cele cinci volume publicate sunt semnate de autor şi sub pseudonimul Alexis V. Drăculea, şi includ un volum de schiţe şi povestiri (În retragere), un jurnal al primului război mondial (Jurnalul meu de răsboiu), un text de strategie militară (Problema comandamentului) şi două piese de teatru (Voica şi Ioana).

Volumele 1, 3 şi 5 sunt însoţite de prefeţe importante ale autorului.

            The Contemporary Literature Press, under The University of Bucharest, Director Lidia Vianu (of the English Dept.), in permanent conjunction with The British Council, and The Romanian Cultural Institute,—

 

                        ANNOUNCES THE PUBLICATION IN ROMANIAN

 

of  Mihail C. Vlădescu’s COMPLETE WORKS edited in facsimile by George Sandulescu and Lidia Vianu (500 pages): the volume includes, for the first time, all the texts the author ever published in book form. Alexandrina Noica and Constantin Vlădescu’s eldest son, Mihail C. Vlădescu was MP, a soldier, a journalist, and a writer. He was born in 1886, and died at the peak of his literary career, in 1931. Out of  the five volumes published here, three are under the pen name Alexis V. Drăculea: Jurnalul meu de răsboiu (My War Diary), the volume of stories  În retragere (While Retreating), and the tragedy Ioana. Two were published in the author’s real name: Problema comandamentului (On Strategies of War Leadership) and the play Voica.

Important: Volumes one, three and five are accompanied by the Author’s prefaces.
